Interpretation about four common malfunctions of dry magnetic separator:
First, the motor of the magnetic separator is overheating, and the sound is not normal.
The reasons about the overheating motor of the magnetic separator and the unnormal sound: a) The bearing lubrication is bad or it is badly worn. b) The fan leaves are worn or drops off. c) The contact of the line inside the switch is poor or it maybe disconnected. d) The voltage is too low.
Second, the sound is unnormal in the operation of magnetic separator. The cylinder is sticked by obstacles which even make the cylinder can not turn and the box vibrate. The reason is that the magnetic separator is sticked by the objects in the bottom box or the magnets drop off, which makes the cylinder rattles seriously and even makes the skin of the cylinder scratched. At this time, you should stop the machine for maintenance to remove failures.
Third, the reducing device is overheating. The reasons : a) The quantity of the oil is not enough, and the quality of the oil is bad. b) The gears and the worm are worn seriously or the mesh is bad. c) The bearing lubrication is bad or it is worn seriously.
Forth, the strength of the magnetic separator becomes weaker.
The reasons: a) The temperature is too high. b) The sunlight exposure is too much. c) Acid corrosion can be measured by the Gauss Meter.
The magnetic separator consist of the base, low magnetic system, cage, upper magnetic system, hollow shaft, concentrated tank, and transmission devices, etc. It is necessary to install the base by the standard of the hollow bearing seat to measure its elevation and levelness. The position of the low magnetic system is based on the base frame. The gap adjustment between the cage and upper and low magnetic system must be accurate and the limit deviation of the gap should be 0+1mm.
